Principal's Message

It is with tremendous excitement, gratitude, and pride that I introduce myself as the new principal of Coconut Creek High School.

From the moment I stepped onto campus, I could feel the passion, tradition, and pride that make Coconut Creek High School such a special place. It is truly an honor to join Cougar Nation, and I am excited to partner with our students, staff, families, and community as we continue building upon the strong foundation that already exists.

As we begin the 2026–2027 school year together, we will remain committed to pursuing excellence in everything we do. Our work will be guided by the Cougar Standard of Excellence a shared commitment that extends to every member of our school community:

These are more than words on a poster. They are the expectations we will have for ourselves and one another every day. Whether you are a student, staff member, parent, alumni, business partner, or community stakeholder, we all play a role in creating a culture where every Cougar can thrive.

You will also hear me frequently talk about a mindset that guides my leadership:

Learn. Grow. Lead. Repeat.

Learning never stops. Growth requires reflection and action. Leadership is not a title—it is influence, service, and responsibility. And once we learn, grow, and lead, we do it all over again. This mindset will help us continue moving forward together as a school community committed to continuous improvement and student success.

One of my highest priorities this year will be strengthening connections and relationships throughout our school community. I believe students perform at their highest levels when they feel seen, heard, valued, and connected. Because of that, student voice will play an important role in the decisions we make and the experiences we create at Coconut Creek High School.

I am committed to:

Assistant Principals

Tiffany Soto, Assistant Principal, 9th Grade

Reading, Magnet, ESE

Ms. Soto earned a Bachelor of Science in Childhood and Special Education from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, a master’s degree in Bilingual and Special Education from Adelphi University, and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Barry University. Her academic journey reflects both her dedication to serving diverse learners and her continued growth as an instructional leader and advocate for student success.

Ms. Soto began her career as a bilingual and special education teacher in the New York City School District, where she built a strong foundation in culturally responsive, student-centered instruction. In 2016, she joined Broward County Public Schools and served as an ESE Specialist and ESOL Coordinator, further expanding her expertise in supporting students with exceptionalities and multilingual learners. She remains committed to creating accessible, inclusive, and equitable learning environments where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed. By working closely with students, families, educators, and community partners, Ms. Soto helps ensure that students gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to thrive in high school and beyond. Her leadership is rooted in the belief that every child deserves high-quality instruction, strong advocacy, and a school culture that fosters growth, purpose, and lifelong success.

Linda Bailey, Assistant Principal, 10th Grade

Science, Math, ELL

Mrs. Linda Bailey serves as an Assistant Principal at Coconut Creek High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Central Florida, a Master’s degree in K-12 Mathematics Education from Nova Southeastern University, and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University. With 17 years of experience in education, Mrs. Bailey has served students at both the middle and high school levels as a mathematics educator and school leader. She is passionate about fostering academic excellence, building positive school cultures, and creating opportunities for all students to succeed.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Bailey has remained committed to developing strong relationships with students, staff, families, and community stakeholders. She believes that high expectations, meaningful support, and collaborative leadership create the conditions for student success. Mrs. Bailey is excited to join the Coconut Creek High School community and looks forward to partnering with students, families, and staff to help every Cougar learn, grow, and thrive.

Mark Hoffman, Assistant Principal, 11th and 12th Grade (2nd In-Command)

Social Studies, CTACE, Athletics

Mr. Hoffman is a proud product of Broward County Public Schools and has dedicated his career to advancing student success and educational excellence. He began his career in education as a mathematics instructor and football coach at Coral Springs High School, where he developed a strong foundation in both academics and student engagement.

He later served as an Assistant Principal at Everglades High School, where he further strengthened his leadership experience and commitment to school improvement. Mr. Hoffman is currently entering his fifth year as Interim Principal at Coconut Creek High School.

With a wealth of experience in instructional leadership and school administration, Mr. Hoffman brings a strong commitment to maintaining a standard of excellence for students, staff, and the broader school community.
